Janesville police urge springtime security

The temperature may be rising, but so is the number of some crimes.   Janesville police are bracing for the typical increase in in crime, warmer weather often brings.  Police Sergeant Brian Donohoue is urging personal security.  He says people need to remember to keep things locked up and valuables out of sight.  Donohoue understands people are eager to get out after a long hard winter, but he says remember where you are, and think ahead.  Donohoue also says avoid dark and deserted areas, avoid walking or jogging alone, and always carry a cell phone.
