Slow-no-wake goes into effect on Rock River

The Rock River appears to be on the rise, but this week's rains are still falling.  The Rock County Sheriff's Office says the water level in Afton is more than 8.5 feet, so according to ordinance, a slow-no-wake speed restriction for boats is now in place.  Sheriff's deputies have begun to place slow-no-wake signs along the river at all public access points between the West Beloit Rock Town Line Road Bridge and the Stateline.  Lake Koshkonong is exempt from teh slow-no-wake restriction.
