AUDIO: "Flushable" not working in Janesville

Janesville may be having more than a little toilet trouble.   Baby and wet wipes could be posing a danger to the Janesville sewer system.  Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent Joe Zakovec says, even the wipes labeled "flushable" can cause costly snarls and back-ups.  Kitty litter, grease, dental floss, and hygiene products are just a few items Zakovec would like to stop seeing at work.  He says they can cause problems in the screens and pumps.   In some cities, blockages caused by these items have been severe enough to break a main.  In all these cases, city workers are forced to correct the blockage by hand.
