Domestic incident leads to arrests
A domestic incident in Beloit leads to the arrest of two wanted men. Officials say 20-year-old Laquann J. Kendell and 28-year-old Ronald L. Hicks were arrested Wednesday night by the S.W.A.T. team after an hours long stand-off outside a home in the 700 block of Oak Street. The invesitgation actually began mid-morning Tuesday, when officers responded to the same address, for a domestic incident, and identified the suspect as Kendall, who'd already fled. A member of the police department's Drug and Gang Unit saw Kendall and Hicks in a motor vehicle in the area of Saint Lawrence and 8th Street Wednesday night about 5:30. Police say the two fled back to Oak Street. Kendell was arrested on charges of Domestic Reckless Endangering Safety, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and a Warrant through the Department of Corrections. Hicks was also arrested on a warrant through the Department of Correction.
