Janesville man who police say went on a violent weekend rampage is held on $100,000 cash bond

The man police say tried to stab his roommate to death, and who's also the prime suspect in the death of an Edgerton woman is held on $100,000 cash bond.

28-year-old Clayton Courtney is facing multiple charges including attempted first degree homicide in connection with an incident at his residence on North Pontiac Drive on Sunday. Police say he repeatedly stabbed a roommate, and threatened to harm the unborn child of another roommate.

Police say they also consider Courtney the main suspect in the death of 21-year-old Britney Cross who was found Monday morning near Traxler Park.
