The Janesville Education Association and School District may be close to terms on a new contract. JEA President David Parr says the district is offering a 1.46% raise. State law now restricts negotiations to wages, but Parr says he's hopeful this will be a step forward toward creating a competitive pay scale. He says the district is losing talented teachers to other districts willing to offer more. A ratification vote is planned for June 3rd.
