Janesville police arrest 5 in probation compliance sweep



The Janesville police department arrests five people for violating the terms of their probation.
 
Officers teamed up with agents from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Friday to determine is they were violating their probation by consuming alcohol at their homes or at taverns in Janesville.
 
Out of 25 probation clients, officers made five arrests including 41-year-old Kenneth Swan of Janesville who was originally convicted of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle.  Swan was also arrested in 2012 when police conducted a similar operation at local bars.
 
Police also arrested 26-year-old Latasha Cole, 43-year-old William Edwards, 51-year-old David Walberg, and 54-year-old Scott Rudd.
 
In addition police found that three local taverns were operating without a licensed bartender, including O'Reily and Conways, Reily's, and the Drunken Monkey.
