BREAKING NEWS: Arrest made in Britney Cross homicide
Janesville police have scheduled at 4:00 p.m. news conference where they say they'll release details about the arrest of a suspect in the death of the 21-year-old Edgerton woman.
Police say 28-year-old Clayton Courtney of Janesville tried to stab his roommate to death the evening of Sunday, May 4th, and during his fit of rage he claimed that he had already killed three people.
Britney Cross' body was found the next morning near Traxler Park. She died of blunt force trauma to the head.
Courtney has been in the Rock County Jail since May facing attempted murder charges and police have said that he was the primary suspect in Cross' death. It's unclear at this time if Courtney is the person police say they've arrested.
WCLO will release more information as it becomes available.
