Local unemployment rate dips

The unemployment rate drops in Rock County.  The State Department of Workforce Development's latest report shows the seasonally unadjusted rate for May at 6.5%.  That's .3% lower than April, and more than 1% lower than a year ago.  The DWD says rates decreased in all but three of Wisconsin's 72 counties last month.  Rates for Green, Jefferson, and Walworth counties also declined.   State wide the rate sits at 5.5%.  This is the 10th consecutive month the unemployment rate has declined in Wisconsin.
