Suitcase bodies suspect bound over for trial
The West Allis man accused of killing two woman and hiding their bodies in suitcases along a town of Geneva Road is bound over for trial.
In Walworth County Court Thursday a Sheriff's Deputy testified that 52-year-old Steven Zelich claimed that the deaths were accidental.
The bodies of 37-year-old Laura Simonson of Rochester, Minnesota and 21-year-old Jenny Gamez of Cottage Grove, Oregon were found in suitcases on June 5th by a Highway Department worker.
Police say Zelich claims that both woman died during BDSM or bondage, dominance, sadism, masochism sessions.
Zelich's attorney argued that he never tried to hide the bodies, and that he placed them in the tall grass next to a rural road so that police could find them.
Zelich will be back in Walworth County Court on July 17th.
