Murder suspect captured in Beloit after high spped chase

A homicide suspect from Rockford leads local law enforcement on a chase with speeds of up to 100 miles an hour.

Just before 11:30 Friday morning Beloit Police and the Illinois State Patrol initiated a pursuit on a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Terence P. Doddy who's a homicide suspect from Winnebago County Illinois.

The pursuit lasted about 25 minutes and started on Shirland Avenue in Beloit. Police say at times Doddy was traveling at speeds of over 100 miles an hour on Highway 81.

Beloit Police deployed stop sticks near Kenucane Road and Highway 81 and Doddy lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree.

The Rock County Sheriff's Office transported Doddy to a local hospital and are guarding him there until he can be transferred to the Rock county Jail.

Doddy's charged with operating while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle without consent, in addition to the charges he's facing in Illinois.
