Beloit man arrested for 3rd offense OWI

A Beloit man is arrested on multiple charges including third offense operating while intoxicated following a routine traffic stop.

Beloit police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 46-year-old Willie Hyer after observing him commit a traffic violation in the area of Portland Avenue and 3rd Street around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Hyer was placed under arrested for felony bail jumping in connection with a previous incident.

Further investigation resulted in additional charges including 3rd offense OWI, speeding, operating a motor vehicle while having a revoked license, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
