Beloit shooting victim identified
Beloit police release the name of the person killed as a result of a shooting in Summit Park.
16-year-old Jose Carruthers-Paramo died as a result of injuries he sustained during the shooting that took place just before 9:00 Saturday night.
A second shooting victim, who sufffered life-threatening injuries has not been identified, and police are waiting for him to recover to speak with him.
A third victim who was not shot, but was injured during the incident, was treated and released from Beloit Memorial Hospital and has been identified as 20-year-old Robert Brandon of Madison.
The fourth victim, who showed up at Beloit Memorial Hospital hours after the shooting has been identified as a 14-year-old girl from Beloit.
Beloit police continue to investigate the shooting and are looking to speak with anyone who may have been present in the park that night.
