Police say a Janesville woman stabbed herself and her husband before shooting herself to death.

At a news conference Wednesday Janesville Police Chief Dave Moore said his officers responded to a residence on the 1600 block of Mole Avenue just before 3:00 Wednesday morning on the report of a domestic dispute.

Officers met with the husband, 32-year-old Carl Rowan who reported that his wife, 31-year-old Hollie Rowan had stabbed him in the hand, and herself in the arm, and that she may have a gun.

Police say investigation reveals that after the stabbing, Carl Rowan called 911 to report the incident, and Hollie could be heard in the background.  According to authorities, Mr. Roawn stayed on the phone with 911 until he met with officers outside the home.

When officers entered the home they founnd Hollie Rowan dead of an apparant self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Neither police, Mr. Rowan, nor the three children asleep inside the house heard a gunshot.
