The featured attractions at Robinson’s Racing Pigs, performing at the Rock County 4-H Fair in Janesville this week, dive into the water obstacle during one of Thursday’s races. The pigs race around a short course in hopes of being the first to reach the winner’s prize— an Oreo cookie treat. The pigs continue to be a popular stop for fairgoers, and shows run daily at noon, 2, 4, 6 and 8 p.m.

Dr. Dean H. Peterson, the morning veterinarian at the Rock County 4-H Fair, treats a goat with an eye injury Wednesday. Members of the Rock Valley Veterinary Medical Association, including Peterson, donate their time at the fair and use the proceeds for a benevolent fund that awards scholarships to veterinary students and sends veterinarians overseas for charity work.
