Hey Mr. Milam,

I found your program entertaining and appreciate the free publicity. It usually is expensive to advertise on your station. :)

I did find your show entertaining. It's unfortunate we have never met and I would be very interested to hear your opinion on school related issues instead of who ran for what and when. It has been close to a decade since I ran for office, so I don't think your allowed to use the perennial label any longer. Also I acknowledge I ran for offices when I was younger for many different reasons. One to servie the community which has been instilled in me since a small child; two, I was a young loud mouth with ideas and ambition. Now being a parent for many years and my last school board election was over at least 12 years ago, I would hope you wouldn't consider me the same candidate I was when I was in my early 20's - I am now pushing 40 pretty quick. As you know, my experience has grown, I have extensive committee and community service and volunteerism, my wife is a special education teacher in Beloit, it is my hope that the school board that we all elected will base their appointment on the qualifications of the candidates as they are today, not based on the past elections. I have a great deal of respect for those who run for office. Those who have not, really do not understand what is involved and time spent away from family and the time spent researching, the time worrying if you said the right thing to the reporter, the stress. As far as I am concerned and I have to respectfully disagree with your position, Anyone who has not run for election, shouldn't be considered for the appointment. Anyone who has not presented themselves and exposed themselves to the entire public by going thorugh the process of collecting signatures to be placed on the ballot, the horrific job of raising money, finding yardsign locations, putting together flyers, organizing volunteers, and getting criticized daily while others provide you encouragement; should have to go through the process before being handed an appointment. That of course is my opinion but I do respect your opinion and your committment to your job. It's not easy getting up and talking into a microphone everyday, attempting to get people participating and doing what you do well.
Just wanted to let you know I respectfully disagree but I did very much enjoy your conversation, I knew someone, somewhere would use the campaigns I ran in the past as the sole reason why I am not qualified for a school board seat, so I wasn't surprised and it was expected. Keep that passion going on the air!

Respectfully
Jason Dowd
