Return to the Vietnam Wall comes to the internet blog

Vietnam Wall comes to the internet

By Rose Stricker ( Contact )   March 27, 2008

Who do you know that would like to visit the Vietnam Wall? If you can't take them there in person, you can now take them there using your computer.

An on-line recreation of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial is now available. You can point and click any place on the wall, zoom in, and take a look close up.

Simply click the orange "View" button.

I've done it. It's stunning. (If it looks blurry as you zoom in, give it a moment or two to catch up with your clicks.)

Supposedly, you can search by name, hometown, birthdate, tour date, or dozens of other categories. I wasn't able to figure out how that works, but you can give it a try.

People can also visit the Washington D.C. WWII Memorial on line at: http://www.
wwiimemorial.com
and, if a name of a veteran you know is missing, add it at this site.
