Retirement income

By Stan Milam ( Contact )   June 30, 2008

Wisconsin insists on taxing pensions. When Wisconsin residents move to Mississippi to avoid that tax, they take with them revenues from sales and property taxes. It seems reasonable to exempt pensions from the income tax in Wisconsin. We lose the revenue when we drive our seniors out of state. Why not exempt that income and retain revenue from sales and property taxes?
