How's Charter treating you?

By Stan Milam ( Contact )   August 6, 2008

For those of you who have Charter Basic or Expanded Basic, do you plan to either upgrade or rent a box to get the local access channels?

What's your take on Charter's inability to come to terms with the Big Ten Network?

By the way, if you have any Charter complaints, concerns, suggestions or commendations, you can pass them along to Jim Rabbitt at the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (1-800-422-7128) or Tim Vowell at Charter (608-288-6823

Hey, about the Big Ten Network: I’m a little surprised that another season is about to kick off and we still can’t watch the away games on Charter. Doesn’t a lack of an agreement between Charter and the Big Ten Network cost both parties lost revenue? Charter isn’t the only one, I’m pretty sure most of Wisconsin will again be shut out of getting big ten football on cable TV if something isn’t done soon. I heard Milwaukee has the same problem with Time Warner over there. Growing up as a Badgers fan and then as a UW student and alumnus, I’ll remain loyal to my team whether I see them or not, but it sure would be nice to be able to watch the road games!

Hoping to get rid of Charter in the next few weeks, still have my orange "cable cord" laying in my back yard for the last 3 months, suppose to be buried within 2 weeks, Customer service, can not understand and they are reading off a card in front of them. Internet works every other day, (Sorry, to hear about that, sir). Cable told me I would be sorry if I switched, dish does not work in bad weather, told the guy it would still be more than my cable works. I will be enjoying Big ten games at home this year.

I would leave it now, but I am moving from the area and will never get cable again. Comcast, like Charter, is just as bad.

Left Charter a long time ago. Customer service was horrible.

I jus heard on WISC-TV 3 That Charter informed the Madison Common Council that it plans to keep madison channel 12(PEG) is that spot indefiantley, maybe they can be convinced to keep the PEG'S where they are currently.
