Downtown Janesville businesses begin to flood
Downtown Janesville businesses, along the Rock River, are fighting the rising flood waters.
"Spirits" are running as low, as the water is high, at the Main Street Saloon in downtown Janesville. Pam Carlson spent the weekend manning the pumps in the basement as the Rock River slowly flooded the business. For now, the Main Street Saloon is anything but a "dry" bar. Carlson says there's close to two feet of water in the basement. They've saved what they could, but worry essential equipment like compressors for the coolers may be lost.
For now, Carlson says the pumps running 24 hours a day, are all that's keeping the business afloat.
