The leadership for the Janesville Education Association has accepted a new contract that calls for teachers to pay $43 a month for a family health insurance plan. Is that reasonable?

Remember, the $43 is in addition to the $1,329 that the teachers currently contribute to their insurance.

Responding to "wisconsinheat" comment: The question only asks if $45 is a reasonable monthly co-pay. It is. We pay a co-pay of $345 a month for lousy insurance.

It depends on the overall package. It's not fair to take just one part and ask if it's reasonable without knowing what all of the other components are.
That's like asking a jury to convict someone after hearing only from the prosecutor.
