Would a "pledge" be enough for me to borrow a million bucks from the bank of Stan? Or would a written contract be required?
I'm not always on the side of all Unions, but I think they would want to discuss this one for a looooong time before agreeing to that.

in regards to the "Al Gore says he invented the Internet" rumor. I like to use that site [snopes.com] to check claims from all political parties, and various e-mails I receive from friends and family.
As far as Republican outrage over Al Gore receiving the Nobel Peace Prize... aren't there some more pressing things they should be worrying about in Congress? Like... when are our American troops coming home?
Just a thought.
