I buy American, I do not shop Wal-Mart. You'd be surprised at the items that are imported; I couldn't believe it when I went to buy catnip and it was "made in china" needless to say I put it back went to Preferred Pets and bought American catnip. The only imports I will buy are products that are impossible to find with a Made in the USA tag (like compact fluorescent light bulbs), and electronics.

A wheel tax is not fair, there are people who don't own cars that still use the roads. A sales tax would have been better at least then EVERYONE pays.

It will all come down to pitching, just as it has since 1982. Shawn Marcum, Rickie Weeks, and Craig Counsel need to go. Doug Melvin needs to work very diligently in keeping Prince as well as getting some pitching to compliment Gallardo and Greinke. I'm not even sure what to say about Wolf. He's either dead on and awesome or awful and so far off. There's no in between with him. The bull pen is somewhat weak as well, though K-Rod and Axe are both excellent pitchers and serve their positions well. It's the pitching staff between starters and closers that is lacking strength and consistency.

I agree mini...its foolish to drive them around unless there's bad weather.
They need the Tahoe's for bad weather especially in the winter! They can also tow boats, atv's, etc. with them where they wouldn't be with squad cars.

Fewer schools and more teachers makes a hell of a lot more sense than paying to take care of more buildings. The cost of maintenance and operation alone could take care of several teacher salaries and benefits. I keep wondering when Janesville will wake up and realize their education is not academically competitive. Test scores are lower than many area schools, the schools focus more on behavior than they do on TEACHING and educating. It's not the teachers fault (for the most part), it's administrations fault. When will common sense come to the Janesville School District? My parents moved out of the Janesville School District in 1977 because they felt the education my brother and I were getting was below par. I open enrolled my daughter out of Janesville Schools for the same reason. If nothing has changed in 30+ years dontcha think there's a problem?

I'm not sure I agree there is donor fatigue as much as I believe the money just isn't there because people are unemployed or underemployed and they are unable to donate. I know my donations are very little compared to when I'm employed full time.
