Just a note for listeners - the first couple of minutes are distorted due to some technical difficulties. Please keep listening :)

I'm with you, Rose. I take that I-90 exit every day and hate it. Bad, bad design.
While we're at it, entering I-90 East from the southbound lane of Highway 26 is pretty awful, too. Maybe we should just rip out that entire section of I-90 and start over?

My only problem with Erin Andrews is that she's not on camera nearly enough. C'mon, ABC/ESPN!!

You're right, Al. The only time I saw Yost passionate was when CC got robbed of his no-hitter. And he certainly doesn't know how to handle a pitching staff - which is odd for an ex-catcher. But look on the bright side; if the Brewers complete their collapse, we'll have a new manager and hitting coach for 2009!

I was in a coffee shop on Milwaukee Street. A girl ran in, obviously upset, and ran behind the counter to talk to the woman who had served me and the person I was conversing with. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see them looking at us, like they were debating whether they wanted to tell us something. When we got up to leave, the girl came over to tell us we had been attacked and that planes were flying into the World Trade Center. As soon as I exited the coffee shop, I called my office - even though I was only a few blocks away - to ask about this unbelievably weird story I had just been told. My co-worker told me it was true. No work got done that day.

Rose - This is an excellent blog. My father died many years ago, and while I cannot remember a word anyone said to me during the funeral or visitation, to this day I remember that they were there. Their presence meant more than anything.
