I honestly don't think ANY of us have the absolute truth of the matter. And until it is an actual law, we won't. But, I tell you what, I will never stop having garage sales or going to them...it is my right to decide what I want to buy, along with others. This is only crushing the already struggling familiy's spirit even more than it already is. Some people's whole exsistence depend on thrift stores and garage sales. If they don't have those options, they will deminish faster than ever. TOWN OF BELOIT just but out!

KITA..I agree. Race doesn't have anything to do with the jest of it. But I understand what the poster was trying to get at. HE/SHE was trying to determine things from a statistic stand point, or so I think . It seems everything in society is statistically researched on race. I think it is just an easier way to break down a very over populated earth. But in reality, yellow, purple, pink and blue people can all live in the ghetto or the mansion on the hill. It just depends on how the family system operates, not on what color the skin is. It's too bad that people don't get that. It is just like they determine things by income brackets as well.

tsk tsk tsk! As a mom that started out at the YOUNG age of 19, I must say, you kids really messed up. Granted, I obviously would NEVER give up my children, but to do it all over again, (and know I would have my SAME boy), I would absolutely wait until I was in an adult and responsible enough to be having sex. If our kids would just listen and believe us when we say we know what we are talking about. I know, that is in an ideal world, because we never thought our parents knew anything either....but seriously kids, your parents REALLY do have a CLUE. I promise. Yes, sex is very enticing, but, please until you are at least bringing home 20k a year, keep it together.

Finally some proactiveness for our JPD. Now, they have a witness with them at all times. I hope this leads to less cop bashing.

Againwiththis...this only pertains to stores. It doesn't pertain to garage sales or flea markets. I KNOW THAT for a fact. There are new guidelines for the manufaturing of items made after march of 2009, and stores can continue to sell pre 2009 clothing, but must guarantee that they have test negative for harmful materials. This is a panic epidemic that totally got blown way out of the ball park. Please don't spread rumors without ALL OF THE FACTS. There is some truth to what you are saying, but there is no way that they can enforce this upon garage sales. How about the antique shops that sell items pre 1900 that are made with barn boards and lead paint, etc? There are certain sales that are considered buy at your own risk. And as far as this balonie about only allowing two garage sales per year....try it! I'd like to see just how far this goes. You are not telling ME what I can do in my garage, unless it is something illegal, and I tell you what, there is nothing wrong with garage sales. This is just government's way of trying to force people to buy new, because they know this year garage sales are going to be more than ever. People don't buy into this, they can't regulate your garage sales.
