Rose...It doesn't matter if the city owns Bessie, or not. The point is that it's the first thing travelers see as they enter our city. I love eating beef, I just don't like the idea of it representing my hometown. :)

My honest opinion, for what it's worth, is people should get a life. It's just an ornament. Frankly, I think it's an eyesore, and I wish Janesville could've picked something more appealing for the "Gateway" to our city. I don't like being known as "Cow-Town".....do you?

It's a concept that the rest of the world already embraces. It's a change people should get used to, because it may be the future of traffic control here in the states. No "Stop" signs, just "Yield" signs. WOW! Complicated, huh?

Wow! This is one of the most "stream-lined" reports I've ever read for such a monumental occasion. Looks like this reporter got alittle lazy or had brats cooking on the grill at home.

Keep an eye on the news. Alpha Company will be deploying in early 2009. It'll be my 2nd tour, but a 1st tour for most of these kids. Company A has some of the finest young Soldiers, dedicated to defending freedom. We are Janesvilles and Wisconsins "ARMY", and Proud of it!

Actually, it costs more to mint pennies and nichols than they are worth. The price of the metals are that high!

I love "Laura"! She is one of the most entertaining shows on the radio. She is in full support of our military and that goes a long way with me. And, she IS better looking than Stan!

Well, if I could be interviewed by Rose Stricker at my hometown radio station (WCLO), that would be all the fame I'd need. I think the ratings would "SkyRocket"!

Hey Rose...I too, can't understand why someone could be so mean to you over a "free" prize. In my opinion, he got what he deserved. Don't let people like these get you down. People are "generally" good natured. He may have had a "hangover" or just got fired. But, more than likely, it was just his "colorful" personality showing through. Have a Great Day!

Not all men are insensative....I let my wife know how I feel about her almost everyday. Being deployed every so often with the military makes me more attentive, I believe. I don't take anything or anyone for granted.
