Do you even read other people's posts before you comment on them? Show me where I had a problem with people who were being kicked out for causing problems.
Church music seems to attract pedophiles. Would you then blame the hymns for the actions of the FEW individuals who give the whole group a bad name?
So, because THESE bars may play a type of music you term "nasty bad" you do not support them as adamantly as you do other proposed drinking establishments. Hmmmm, interesting.
BTW, no one is playing the "race card" here. Even though that is every racists most beloved
quote to trot in defense of such ignorance.

Green Industry? I hope what BTC currently considers "Green Industry" occupations is not what this article is talking about. http://courses.blackhawk.edu/curriculum.... I don't see alot of need for landscapers in the stateline area.

"the city's Alcohol Beverage License Control Committee suggests the End Zone Bar and Grill and Summers Pub change their music"
----------------------------------------------
I am just stunned. I can not believe that this was an actual recommendation by the city's licensing committee. I have been to the End Zone on numerous ocassions and have witnessed first hand the very efficient way the bouncers there deal with trouble makers. IF there are under age people being served alcohol at these establishments THAT is something that should be looked at but, blaming a genre or type of music is simply racist.
I also have dealt with the BPD and have seen how they respond to incidents of disorderly conduct. Let's just say they leave alot to be desired.
The suggestion that the problem these places are experiencing are the fault of the proprietors, because of the genre of music they choose to play, is very offending.
Is it any wonder minorities in our country continue to feel persecuted?

Heartbroken Mom, I too hope your daughter finds lifelong recovery but, it sounds a little like you are BLAMING the college for your daughter's decision to become involved with alcohol in the first place. In most cases, by the time our children reach college, they should have already been made aware of the dangers of drugs and alcohol, not only through most of grammar school and 4 years of high school but, also at HOME.
Like I said, I sincerly hope your daughter is able to overcome this "disease" but, just like AA or other recovery programs can teach us, a big part of recovery is taking responsibility for our OWN actions that have caused us and those closest to us such pain and heartache.
