Save the Wall
This isn't a sports blog. This is something very important. We have to preserve history if possible. The many customers at the Italian House by Craig high school over the years have been able to sign a fake brick wall. The wall is loaded with signatures and signing the wall has become a tradition for each graduating class.
Well, the "I-House" as it is known by the students,is moving this summer into the vacated Hardees on the corner of Randall and Racine. According to Edmund, the I-House owner,he really has no place to put the wall due to the makeup of the new building. Questions about the wall have been coming in via e-mail from around the country.
Edmund is in a real quandry about the wall. He is open to any suggestion to save the wall and so am I.
There are many nights prior to heading to Craig for a basketball game,a gondola sandwich really hits the spot. Edmund has been so good to the kids over the years and they in return have been good to him.
Stan Milam has suggested taking pictures of the wall and the signatures and framing them around the new location. Yes,that would save the signatures somewhat, but it WON'T SAVE THE WALL.
If you have an idea, let us know, let the I-House know. We have about four weeks,so the clock is running.

He could take the wall and build a wall in the new place. It wouldn't be that hard to transfer the old wall to the new place. I'm sure it's just tacked up somehow. He should build a wall in the new place and put the old wall next to it. The tradition needs to continue. Edmund don't let down the hundreds of students who signed the wall. It's what makes the I-House the I-House.

how about the Tallman House? Can the Rock County or Janesville Historical Societies become invloved? or the the City of Janesville or The School District? or another local businessperson. To bad Ken Hendricks and Terry Campbell past way this winter Im sure those two would have put their heads together and come up with a great idea to save the wall.
