What's next for the Brewers and Cubs

By Al Fagerli ( Contact )   October 6, 2008

The Brewers more than likely face the prospect of no CC Sabathia and no Ben Sheets next year as both will be sought after during the free agent signing period. Milwaukee made their move at the all-star break by trading for CC and we all know what he did for the team. As for Sheets, with his constant injury problems,I really don't care if the Brewers try and keep him or not. Don't get me wrong,Ben is a good pitcher and when he is healthy,he is one of the best. It could very well be that he will come back and haunt is old team at some point. But I can live with it. It's time to move on in his case.

The Cubs dissapointment will be hard to get over and I hope Ron Santo can smile again sometime after the sweep by the Dodgers.

Just wait until next year.
