Not a lot of "Ghouls and Goblins" Saturday

By Al Fagerli ( Contact )   November 2, 2009

I don't know if it was because of Halloween falling on Saturday or what, but I was surprised at the little trick or treat traffic we had in our neighborhood. Usually,it is well over a 100,this year, very light. Less than 80. What surprised me the most, the came in quick bursts, and it was all quiet at 7:15.
Things started slow, but I attribute that to the time. Hours in Janesville started at 5:30,and it didn't get dark until a few minutes after 6:00. So the first half hour was dead. In looking up and down my street, the number of houses with lights on for the trick or treaters was about the same. So I guess I can't blame that for the low number. Maybe the kids in our area are just getting older and don't go out anymore. Who knows? What about your neighborhood?
