Al has his pick for Sunday

By Al Fagerli ( Contact )   October 30, 2009

You know,I really believe when Brett Favre takes the field Sunday at Lambeau Field, that the Packer faithful will be respectful. Come on,the guy is a Hall of Famer,he led the team to two Super Bowls, winning one,and delighted the fans, and disspointed as well, for 16 years. Once the game kicks off and Favre goes thru his first offensive series, the hoopla will die down and it will be all about football.

The game should be a good one. The Packers are playing well, even though it was against Detroit and Cleveland. Still, wins are wins and the Vikings need one after their loss at Pittsburgh last week.

Stopping the run will be the key. If the Packers can shut down Adrian Peterson, which they didn't do the first time, then Favre will be forced to pass, like he was last week against the Steelers. The Steelers turned a Favre fumble and interception into long scores to get the win.

Stop #28 and you can stop #4.

Pick: Packers 20 Vikqueens 17.

Packer run defense may be the best around, Al. The load will be on Favre (sp) and that spells too old and too cold.
Packers - 27
Vikings - 6
