Don't fall for political pick-up lines!

By Rose Stricker ( Contact )   October 3, 2008

Everyone “talks purty” during election season. Everyone running for office tries to tell you what you want to hear. It reminds me of bar talk when that one guy is trying to convince you to go home with him. He gives you lots of pretty talk filled with empty promises that will be forgotten the morning after he gets what he wants from you...

What politicians want from you is your vote. Then what?

Just me? Does it all sound too “purty” to anyone else?

Do you need an unbiased "girlfriend" sitting next to you at the bar to point out the cheap pick-up lines for you? Try this non-partisan website. It's updated often.

I believe it's what they hope to do, but they are the President, not the King so it's not entirely in their hands.. THANK GOD! I just hope they don't sneak out of bed in the middle of the night..
