Strawberry or Grape?

By Rose Stricker ( Contact )   October 8, 2008

On WCLO, Consumer Reports' Ernie Sprantz gave a report on the best peanut butters and strawberry jams.

Strawberry?!?

Growing up, I had grape jelly on peanut butter sandwiches. More often, Mom made me honey and peanut butter sandwiches. But, I'd never heard of strawberry with peanut butter. That sounds wrong to me.

I mean, it's peanut butter and jelly, right? Not peanut butter and jam.

Am I the weird one with grape jelly?

What about you? Which fruit do you put on your peanut butter sandwich?

(Side note: Haddie McLean in the News 3 Weather Center puts raspberry jelly on hers.)

I like blackberry jelly on my pb&j-that flavor gives it a little more "grown up" taste-my kids don't like blackberry jelly on their pb&j's-they like grape jelly

PB &J is jelly -- grape jelly... But I love PB & dill pickles or even pb & miracle whip -- I know - it sounds nasty but if you like Miracle whip try it & let me know what you think...

Rhubarb jam is good.
My grandpa was a fan of tomato preserves, and my grandma made peanut butter and bacon sandwiches. But I think Nutella is my current favorite.
