Baskets of Yarn

By Rose Stricker ( Contact )   March 5, 2009

In the beginning, there was yarn...

I spent two hours (that's two hours, folks!) unraveling tangled wads of second-hand yarn, sorting through donated skeins, and filling every basket in the house. Here's what I've got to start making my scrap yarn afghan for the Janesville chapter of Project Linus.

This isn't even all the yarn I have. I have a canvas grocery bag brimming with pastel-colored sport weight yarn which I'll use to make an additional baby afghan or two.

But, you see how varied the quantities and colors are that I have to work with. (Aren't they pretty?) Believe it or not, I think I can whip them into some semblance of order.

Check back for updates and pictures of ongoing progress!
