Another Crochet Project Finished!

By Rose Stricker ( Contact )   January 6, 2010

One of the gifts my family gave me for Christmas is a set of crochet hooks and a handy-dandy hook organizer. (They know me so well!)

Just in time, too, because just before Christmas, I completed and delivered this afghan to Project Linus...

(In this photo, it's kinda wrinkly, but it'll stretch out.)

Remember its twin? Together, these afghans have taken up most of a year of my crocheting. But, I did manage to also whip up a couple Harry Potter-like scarves for friends (one Gryffindor and one Ravenclaw), a baby afghan for a charity auction, two stocking caps that members of my family quickly claimed for themselves... and about twenty holiday Stricker stockings for the WCLO Pop Quiz contestants. whew!

And now that I'm armed with new tools, I need a new project to work on!
Goodness knows I have plenty of yarn to work with!

Beautiful, my favorite baby blankets for the kids were all hand made by relatives. I wish I had your ability and talent.

Don't forget: you also made a smashing "pink ribbon" scarf for Relay for Life.

Beautiful afghan Rose!!! I crochet and knit, but crochet is my favorite, especially for afghans. I've made a few Harry Potter scarves as well for my family. It's wonderful that you donated your afghan to charity-kudos to you!
