It's a Cat Tracker snow!
A few days ago, I posted the Cat Tracker snowfall formula which uses the phases of the moon to predict how many snowfalls we will get in a winter season.
In a nutshell, the age of the last new moon plus the day of the month equals the number of snowfalls we can expect.
Well, Saturday morning I woke up to snow deep enough in Milton for a cat to leave footprints.
According to the new moon calendar, our last new moon was November 24, 2011.
So, using the formula of "age of last new moon" (23 days) plus "day of the month" (17th), we will have... 40 snows before we can put the snow shovel away.
Yikes!
(Double check my math, would you? I'm hoping I figured that wrong.)
