Don't you dare raise my property taxes
Every elected member of a taxing body take notice:
Property values, especially in the residential sector, are declining. The "fair market" values listed on our property tax bills from last December are no longer valid. In many cases, the "assessed" values are closer to the "fair market" values. In theory, those two values should be the same.
In texting language DETI (don't even think it) regarding property tax increases, and a double DETI in terms of increased assessments.
School districts and municipalities must manage their budgets without property tax increases. Anything else is unacceptable.

Amen to JozeMozes' comment. Honor, common sense and integrity... along with personal responsibilty are sorely lacking in "high places". Let's show "them" how we do it at the lower levels... the ordinary citizen. Hurray for ordinary!

Instead of $200,000, now the hockey rink say they need $350,000 to fix it up for the jr team. It seems janesville is still in the spend, spend, spend mode.

Stan I was just thinking about this very subject yesterday and couldn't have said it better!
It is high noon for local and federal government! Start living within your means even if it means cutting programs and activities.
Having a school age child and another due in October I could care less about Athletics not to say they are not important.
I support whatever makes our children tomorrows innovators. This is what made America great.
Not complacency due to us riding on the shirt tails of America's greatest generation.
The free ride is over. Bring back honor, common sense and integrity!
