Packers GM Ted Thompson confirms Favre's retirement during afternoon news conference. NFL restrictions do now allow us to upload the audio, however you may be able to find it at The official Packers website.

The story broke around 8:30am on Tuesday with a story from FoxSports.com Senior NFL Writer Jay Glazer.

Soon afterward, the report was confirmed by Bill Michaels of WTMJ - the flagship station of the Packers Radio Network.


Around 10am, Packers General Manager Ted Thompson confirmed the reports and issued a statement.
