A popular retail store proposes building a one million square foot distribution center in Janesville.
Dollar General wants to build a facility in the City’s business park at the corner of Innovation Drive and Beloit Avenue which would support it’s retail sales distribution network in the Midwest and also include an onsite truck maintenance facility and dispatch center.
The Janesville City Council will consider a Tax Incremental Financing Development Agreement and a Transportation Economic Assistance grant for the project on Monday.
The company plans to break ground next month and have the plant fully operation within three years, supporting more than 550 full time jobs.
