Long time Rock County Treasurer Vicki Brown says she's not running for reelection. Brown was first elected to the post in 2002. Before that she worked in the treasurer's office. She's announcing now to give anyone planning to run, and chance to learn the job over the course of the next year. She tells Your Talk Show on WCLO whoever wants the job should have a thick skin, like to work with numbers, understand cash flow, and understand how to apply state statutes. Brown isn't sure what she plans to do next, but admits she no longer has a fire in her belly for the job like she did when she started.
