The Janesville City Council looks at installing about a half mile of new sidewalk next year.
The proposed sections include South Osborne Avenue from West Conde Street to Kellogg Avenue, a section of South Terrace Street south of West Burbank Avenue, and a section in front of a business on the 3000 block of Deerfield Drive.
Public Works Director Paul Woodard says some of the 20 affected property owners may be eligible for deferments.
The City Council will hold a public hearing Monday night at 6:00 before considering approval of the 2016 sidewalk plan.
