Beloit hosts meeting on 4th Street Bridge replacement

The City of Beloit has scheduled a public involvement meeting to discuss plans for the replacement of the Fourth Street Bridge over Lenigan Creek, near Beloit Memorial High School. The meeting is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the City of Beloit Engineering Building (Large Conference Room), located at 2400 Springbrook Court, Beloit, WI 53511. The meeting will be an open house format.

The meeting will present preliminary design information and renderings, as well as a proposed schedule for the planned improvements. Details regarding minor impacts to Section 4(f) resources, including Wootton Park and the multi-use path within the Beloit Memorial High School property, will also be presented.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input, and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvement alternatives will be on display. City of Beloit representatives and designers from Batterman will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
