Delavan Police lieutenant is charged with strangling his girlfriend with her own scarf.
The Gazette reports 43-year-old Todd C. Wiese faces a charge of felony strangulation and suffocation after being arrested at his Delavan home on December 19th.
According to the criminal complaint filed (Monday) in Walworth County Court, Wiese yelled expletives at the Rockford woman, threw a glass of water at her, and choked her with the scarf around her neck.
Wiese remains a City employee but has been on unpaid leave since last Wednesday. Before that he was on paid administrative leave since December 21st.
