Chicago man convicted of attempted homicide in Beloit

A 32-year-old Chicago man is convicted of attempted first degree homicide following a three day jury trial.

The Rock County District Attorney’s Office says that Samuel Jones was found guilty of shooting and attempting to kill a 28-year-old Beloit man in October of 2014 in the Head Start parking lot in Beloit.

Jones faces up to 60 years of imprisonment at his sentencing on March 17th.
