The Janesville Fire Department will soon be up to full strength. Deputy Chief Bill Ruchti says the latest class of recruits should graduate April 15th. Ruchti appears pleased with the new members who he calls both experienced and qualified. He adds the department has been hit hard by retirements recently. The new recruits won’t have to suffer in the old fire station for long, considering the new station is scheduled to open in little more than a month.
