On Tuesday, April 5, 2016 The Salvation Army will be hosting their annual Tin Cup Benefit.  This benefit luncheon highlights the programs of The Salvation Army such as the Food Pantry, Community Lunch, Pathways of Hope and our transitional living program.  Through heartwarming testimonials from program recipients, attendees will hear how first-hand how, with their support, The Salvation Army has made a difference in their life.  The event is April 5, at the Pontiac Convention Center in Janesville at 11:30 a.m., and will feature a “soup kitchen” style lunch.

The event will be highlighted by our Special Guest Speaker Brian Stenzel, Director of Public Relations for Festival Foods.  Also, we will again hold a “Soup Cook-off” where chefs representing Best Events, Blackhawk Technical College Culinary School, Conway & O’Riley’s Pub, The Janesville Country Club and Festival Foods will face off in a soup making contest.  Judges will pick the winning soup, but everyone in attendance will be able to help decide the people’s choice award winner.

The cost for the Benefit is $100, to register for the event you can contact Julie at 608-757-8300.
