A new sign is being tested to welcome visitors to Janesville. City Manager Mark Freitag says the idea evolved over the last two years following discussions about the community’s strategic plan. Freitag says not all the feedback has been positive, and he’s quick to point out the sign is just a mock-up. It’s located at the corner of Centerway and Milton Avenue in the triangle lot occupied by the new central fire station.
