Grant funds special music program for 2nd and 3rd graders in Milton

The School District of Milton is pleased to announce that it has received a grant from the Milton Fund, a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Inc., to support the Kenland Musical Concert put on by award-winning musician Ken Lonnquist.

Mr. Lonnquist will visit both Harmony and West Elementary Schools for a three-day singing and songwriting residency with the students in second and third grade. He will be at Harmony from 8:45-10:15 a.m. and at West from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on May 16th, May 18th, and May 20th. The three-day event will come to conclusion with a final concert. Ken Lonnquist will perform some original music, as well as perform with the students, singing the songs each grade wrote with him. The final concert will be on Wednesday, June 1st, from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at Consolidated Elementary, 1:00-1:45 p.m. at Harmony, and 2:15-3:00 p.m. at West.

This grant is made available from the Milton Fund, an endowment fund created to benefit the community of Milton. The Milton Fund is a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin.
