Janesville police investigate armed robbery

Janesville police are investigating an armed robbery at the Stop-N-Go on Center Avenue.  Police got the call just before 11:00 p.m. Saturday night.  Officers say a single suspect entered the store, demanded money and cigarettes from the clerk and fled the scene on foot.  A firearm was observed in the suspect’s waistband area.  No one was injured during the incident.  The suspect is described as a black female, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall with a thin build.  She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, baggy blue jeans and white shoes.  Several officers responded to the scene and the immediate area.
