Access to high speed Internet is essential for quality education and commerce according to State Representative Mark Spreitzer of Beloit. The Democrat is part of a legislative committee tasked with studying the success of Wisconsin’s Broadband Expansion Grant Program. Spreitzer says people might be surprised to find out how many areas of the state don’t have quality access to the Internet. The study committee is expected to work on alternatives to support the construction of broadband infrastructure in rural areas.
